Last night I was watching HGTV and they stated that Poland likes to decorate their christmas trees with spiders and spider webs for good luck.

Mira .... thanks so much for that ..... it really is a struggle to get rid of the sticky. I've found they sell it in Tesco, Asda and Halfords. I can't believe I'd never heard of it but I'll definitely be getting some. :D

Cool ... sounds lovely MD.  I'd recommend "Goo-Gone" (it works like black magic) for removing the sticky residue on your window, but I don't know if they sell it in the UK ... perhaps they have an equivalent.

I have led lights. I completely fill the window of my living room ...... I sellotape them to the glass which is a pest to clean off but they look lovely. I put them on a setting that goes through 7 different displays. I love them but I don't put them up until at least the 15th. They cost virtually nothing to run but by the time 12th night comes round .... I'm glad to see them go.

BJ has the same lights draped round her tree .... which is already up and decorated but the lights aren't switched on yet.

Do you decorate your place at Christmas MD?  Or don't you bother because you go to BJ's?

Mira ..... I don't like outages ..... fingers crossed ...... I've only had about 2 in the 6 years I've been in the UK. OMG ...... just realised ...... it's 6 years today. I must celebrate!!!!! 

Our weather has been very pleasant today ... sunny with cool breezes. It's dropped colder this evening but we expect that.

MD ... we had another storm overnight with a 5 hour power outage between 2am and 7am.  The Christmas lights survived.

This tree looks very sparkly and not quite so wobbly today.

Mira ..... I can just picture your lovely home with lights up ....... I bet it would make a pretty Christmas card...... especially with a sprinkling of snow.    But only a sprinkling!  :D

That's better ... let's just hope they don't get another gale.  We've got stormy weather here again ... mostly coming along in squalls. Hubby strung up the Christmas lights outside yesterday ... I hope they survive!

Mira ..... looking at the stills ..... they did a revamp of the tree-lights. I'm amazed the tree stayed upright.

It looks rather bedraggled ... hopefully they can fix it up again.

Mira ..... I can't argue with that!  I wouldn't like to be within striking distance of this one. I love the look of all the pretty lights on the Borgholm cam.
