Hi Syrsa .... thanks for the info ... and yes .... you did spell it correctly ..... I looked it up! How annoying not to be able to see this cam at Christmas.
At one time Opentopia had more than 4,000 cams but numbers have dwindled.

Hi All, here's the reason why they shut down the camera.
Webcam -because of uncertainty about the municipality s web cameras follow the new camera surveillance Act from 2013, it has been decided to close down the cameras. The municipality will apply for a permit from the County Administrative Board.
So as soon as they get the permit, we can look at it again. It could take a while though, the wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly... :-) (did I spell that right??)

Lot of cams seem to be off, especially the nice snowy ones.
MD10/31/16 21:03
What a shame. It was a good cam.
ericusmaximus10/31/16 20:57
This one has a username and password request now, this one is lost then. Decent cam that... must have been a local authority security cam or soemthing that was accessed online. I have been reading about Chine cameras streaming live on the internet if you don't change the passwords etc. after you set them up. I wonder if this one was not meant to be online ?

MD10/08/16 19:17
Sweden's Got Talent......... ? Is that true or is it another inspired invention? LOL
ericusmaximus10/08/16 18:52
Ahh... just a quick post been a long time, Saturday evening people enjoying a Norlands Guld in their flats above the shops watching Sweden's got talent.
ericusmaximus12/25/15 12:37
A quick look at the empty streets here, as you might imagine today.
MD12/21/15 23:08
Hi Syrsa ...... it's late ..... and you're here!!!! Have a lovely Christmas. :D
Syrsa12/21/15 22:36
And a Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy 2016 to you All! Cheers!

Hi MD, I live in the town of Davie near Fort Lauderdale in the US, and there's a five hour time difference. So if I'm sitting here in the morning around 7.30 you'll be at 12.30 in the afternoon. I usually look at the cams in the morning, very seldom in the evening.. But, wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy 2016!!! Cheers!
MD12/19/15 14:00
Hi Syrsa ...... I spot comments from you and say Hi but lately we don't seem to be on at the same time. I'm sure you will be back to this cam so I'll wish you a Merry Christmas today in the hopes that you see it in time. LOL!
Syrsa12/19/15 13:16
Mira, I bet that's what it is! It does cover a large area, MD.
MD12/19/15 01:19
Mira ..... I think you are correct ...... it covers a large area.
Its probably a steam tunnel under the pavement, like they have around different places in NYC. Down town Detroit has them too and the homless there warm themselves on the vents.
MD12/17/15 17:22
Hi Mira ..... such a sensible idea. The cost is probably prohibitive for general use.

Hi Syrsa & MD ... I remember a steep road outside of Caterham in Surrey, UK that had under-pavement heating to keep black ice and snow off it in winter. I'm not sure how common that type of technology is.
